Structure and Subcommittees

Task Force Structure

The DATA task force has adopted a shared responsibility and leadership approach to task force structure. The DATA task force is composed of an Advisory Committee, quarterly meetings with the general body, and six sector-specific subcommittees. Housed within the Denver District Attorney’s office, the DATA Director is responsible for providing overall administration and guidance of the task force.

Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee consists of senior representatives from local and federal law enforcement and local service providers that provide multidisciplinary guidance to the task force and represent a coordinated and comprehensive response to human trafficking in Denver. The Advisory Committee meets regularly to evaluate the progress and strategic direction of the task force. Members provide input on the overall collaborative anti-trafficking response and ways to address gaps and enhance efforts.

Subcommittees have representatives serving on the advisory committee.

Quarterly Meetings

Quarterly meetings are open to all DATA members as well as the public. Partners representing local, state, and federal law enforcement, governmental agencies, social service providers and community members are invited to attend. Currently more than 70 organizations participate in DATA. Organizations and individuals interested in attending and participating in DATA can contact data@denverda.org.

Mental Health (Meets Bi-Monthly)

Collaborative mental health professionals working in the field of human trafficking to address the immediate and ongoing needs of survivors and professionals working with survivors through a fully inclusive and trauma informed lens.

Youth Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) (Meets Monthly)

The Youth MDT is a closed group consisting of law enforcement, human services, education, and other professionals who staff cases of high-risk youth that are referred to the team.

Law Enforcement (Meets Monthly)

The Law Enforcement Subcommittee is a closed group made up of members of local and federal law enforcement. This subcommittee meets to discuss human trafficking investigations and cases. Members of this group communicate regularly to de-conflict cases and tips and ensure coordinated response to the crime of human trafficking.

Crime Victim Services Committee (Meets Quarterly)

The Crime Victim Services Committee allows direct service providers a forum for networking, cross-training, and exploring current issues and concerns in Denver. The Focus of this committee is to create and explore new collaborative efforts.
