Data is a collaborative multidisciplinary human trafficking task force that meets to enhance the response to human trafficking in the Denver metro area. Learn more about structure/subcommittees here.

HISTORY

Established to Make a Difference.

In 2013, The Denver Anti-Trafficking Alliance (DATA) was established under Denver District Attorney (DDA) Mitch Morrissey as a part of the Special Programs Unit. Since then, DATA has grown to represent more than 70 Denver partners.

Today, DATA partners include local, state, and federal law enforcement, social services, community-based agencies, governmental agencies, medical professionals, advocacy and prevention organizations, and more.

Mission

Collaboration, Education, and Awareness.

The mission of Denver Anti-Trafficking Alliance is to further develop a victim-centered, multidisciplinary, multi-sector response to human trafficking in Denver metro area through collaboration; support of trauma-informed services and organizations; collaborative investigations and prosecution; education and awareness; and advancing public policy and advocacy.

Our Objectives

Establish and sustain effective leadership and structure that will engage the necessary resources to promote and facilitate collaboration and support goals of the task force.

Make data-driven decisions to improve task force effectiveness and response to human trafficking.

Identify all types of human trafficking through the use of coordinated training, public awareness and outreach efforts, and trauma informed screening and interview techniques.

Conduct proactive investigations of sex and labor trafficking with the goal of identifying victims of trafficking and successfully prosecuting human trafficking crimes at the state and federal level.

Ensure a comprehensive array of services is readily available to meet individualized needs of all victims of human trafficking including foreign nationals and U.S. citizens.
